I can't seem to get subtitles on itv player or in fact on any of the channels on demand or catch up tv. If you have any feedback about our subtitles, please contact us at accessibility@itv.com. I have tried samsung online help but they are at a loss to know. To access itv hub subtitles on a smart tv, you need to be using a samsung tv that's using the tizen operating system (which started being introduced in their models in 2017) or a tv with freeview play (also from 2017 onwards). Why can't i get subtitles on itv player when they had them when program was originally shown on itv.
First, you need to open the menu using your tv remote after that locate the setup and preferences option and select it. Itv hub, all 4 & demand 5 don't have subtitles. I assumed it was something to do with the you view box as the subtitles are available on the ipad and laptop. I went into hub settings but no option there. Select that option, and it will turn on or turn off subtitles.

Not ideal but a workaround at least. I know that itv hub supports subtitles as i have them on my ipad , any help would be very acceptable. Also tried to reset tv still no joy 🤔🤔. When i play a movie (via the usb port) with associated srt subtitle file, subtitles don't work on my samsung smart tv. Not much help on the itv hub help page but i will try contacting them.
